Traveling to Ephesus ?

With the exception of Pompeii, Ephesus is the largest and most well preserved ancient city in the world. Its perfect location nearby Kusadası Cruise Ship Port enables thousands every year to discover the secrets of Ephesus.  When you stroll downhill on marble streets , you can easily feel the footsteps of Cleopatra, Mark Anthony,  St. John,  St. Paul and our Holy Mother  Mary . Nearly all well known Roman emperors visited and lived in this city like Hadrian, Marcus Aurelius and all adorned the capital of Asia with spectacular structures.  Especially reconstructed Celsus Library still stands as a symbol of Roman heritage and architecture on this part of the world.  The Greco-Roman  theater  from 4 C BCE is still a great attraction point of Bible lovers , due to the struggle of St. Paul in antiquity.

Ephesus is located one hour drive away from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport and only 20 minutes away from Kusadasi Cruise Ship port.

Town of Selçuk where Ephesus is located, has also great number  of attractions like the Museum of Ephesus , Isa Bey Mosque,  Basilica of St. John  and offers a  great deal of local handicrafts. You may come across with local farmer’s market on Saturdays for colorful and fresh fruits and vegetables.

You may also like to visit the little hilltop village of Şirince, where the villagers sell fruit wine which is typical of this village, taste local food and local olive oil, smell handmade soap and  enjoy the cobble stoned little alleys.

I provide tours around Kuşadası, Selçuk and Şirince as a guide  and as a driver guide with an A/C Land Rover Freelander SUV which can take up to  4 people. Please contact me at least two weeks before your date of arrival. I provide transfers from  Kuşadası or Izmir Cruise Ship Port to Ephesus as well.
